Helen Mannic Honoured As ‘Special Vessel For Honour’ By Men’s Christian Association
June 15, 2025, was a momentous day for Mrs. Helen Mannic, Programme Manager The Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation, as she was honoured with the distinguished "Special Vessel for Honour" award by the Men’s Christian Association of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Redemption Parish, Afaraukwu Umuahia in celebration of Father’s Day.
The award ceremony, held during a special service at the church, recognised Mrs. Mannic’s exceptional dedication to community service, leadership, and unwavering commitment to humanitarian causes. She was celebrated for her inspiring contributions that have positively impacted the lives of many within and beyond the church community.
Dr. Oluebube A. Chukwu, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Alex Otti on Due Process, was represented at the event by Mr. Victor Ukpong, his private secretary who delivered a goodwill message commending Mrs. Mannic’s Personality. He described her as “a selfless woman of virtue whose life reflects the values of service, humility, and compassion.”
Mr. Ukpong further praised Mrs. Mannic’s consistent efforts in supporting various outreach programmes, noting that her example continues to inspire others to live purpose-driven lives rooted in faith and love for humanity.
In her acceptance speech, Mrs. Mannic was visibly moved. “I am deeply honoured and humbled by this recognition,” she said. “To be seen and appreciated in this way means so much to me. This award is not just mine it belongs to everyone who has walked this journey with me, especially those who work quietly to make a difference in the lives of others.”
