In the spirit of celebrating Children’s Day, The Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation (OACF) extended its act of benevolence to the special needs children and other pupils of Abia Model School, Elu Ohafia, on 27th May, 2026 in a heartwarming outreach aimed at promoting inclusion, love, unity, and a strong sense of belonging among the children.

The foundation was warmly received by the management, staff, and pupils of the school. The event was made even more memorable with special presentations by the children, particularly the special needs pupils, who entertained guests and showcased their talents in appreciation of the visit. Their performances reflected the importance of creating opportunities where every child feels valued, accepted, and celebrated irrespective of their abilities.

As part of the celebration, The Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation donated several educational materials to the school. Items distributed included stationery, writing materials, exercise books, story books, toys, snacks, drinks, and party packs for the children. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and happiness as the children joyfully received the gifts.

The outreach was specially designed to celebrate children with special needs alongside other pupils in an inclusive environment that encouraged interaction, acceptance, and togetherness. The initiative further reinforced the message that every child deserves equal love, care, support, and the opportunity to thrive within society.

Speaking during the event, the management of Abia Model School expressed profound gratitude to OACF for finding time to celebrate with the children and for the generous support extended to the school. The management appreciated the foundation for remembering and identifying with the pupils, especially the special needs children, and offered prayers for greater achievements and success in all the foundation’s future endeavours.
The school management also highlighted some areas where further support would be appreciated in order to improve learning and welfare for the pupils.

The outreach was further enriched by the presence of Local Government Area (LGA) Managers from Arochukwu, Isikwuato, Bende, Ohafia and Umunneochi, as well as give ward Coordinators from Ohafia LGA who joined in solidarity to support the programme and celebrate the children.

The event stands as another testament to The Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation’s commitment to humanitarian service, child welfare, inclusive education, and community development, especially among vulnerable and special needs children.
