OACF Honoured For Youth Empowerment, Community Support At Amuda Youths Action Day
The Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation (OACF) has received an Award of Recognition for its contributions to community development, humanitarian service and youth empowerment at the maiden Amuda Youths Action Day 2026 in Amuda, Isuochi, Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State.
The event, organised by the Amuda Town Youths Development Association (ATYDA) on Saturday, September 26, was held under the theme, “Our Community, Our Responsibility,” and brought together youths, traditional rulers, community leaders, political stakeholders, philanthropists and other residents.
OACF was among individuals and organisations honoured for their contributions to the development of Amuda community, having supported the initiative with a ₦500,000 donation towards its youth empowerment programme.
The foundation’s recognition came as the event raised support for more than 200 Amuda youths who applied for financial and material assistance to establish businesses and pursue various trades and skills.
In a goodwill message to the organisers, OACF Programme Manager, Helen Mannic, said the foundation was delighted to identify with the initiative, describing its theme as a reflection of the responsibility of individuals to contribute to the growth of their communities.
She commended the leadership and members of ATYDA for bringing young people together around a vision centred on empowerment, development, service and the future of Amuda.
According to her, OACF was particularly pleased to support an initiative that promotes youth empowerment, cultural expression, policy conversation, community engagement and the recognition of individuals contributing to societal development.
The foundation urged the Amuda youths to sustain the spirit behind the Action Day beyond the event, stressing the importance of collaboration, responsible leadership and practical actions in building a stronger community.
For OACF, the recognition further highlights its growing involvement in initiatives focused on youth development, humanitarian assistance, community development and creating opportunities for young people, in line with its philosophy of “Building Today, For A Better Tomorrow.”
