OACF Strengthens Grassroots Network, Engages Ward Managers To Drive Community Impact
The Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation (OACF) is taking its development work closer to the people.
The Foundation has launched a strategic engagement with Ward Managers across selected zones, moving to tighten its grassroots structure and ensure its community programmes deliver real results where they are needed most.
Coordinated by OACF’s LGA Managers, the meetings are aimed at equipping Ward Managers with a clearer understanding of the Foundation’s mission, vision, and objectives. More importantly, the engagement seeks to reposition them as the critical link between OACF’s management and communities at the ward level.
During the sessions, Ward Managers received training on effective communication, accurate reporting, and coordination of OACF’s interventions. The Foundation said this will help improve monitoring, feedback, and the delivery of programmes directly to residents.
“This is about building a stronger bridge between our vision and the communities,” an OACF representative noted. “Ward Managers are our eyes and ears on the ground. When they are well informed and coordinated, our impact is deeper and more sustainable.”
The Foundation described the initiative as part of its broader push for accountability and sustainable development under its guiding principle of _“Building Today, For A Better Tomorrow.”_
OACF confirmed that the engagement is ongoing, with more Ward Managers set to be sensitized in the coming months. The Foundation also commended LGA Managers for driving the exercise and urged Ward Managers to remain committed as partners in transforming lives across Abia communities.
