Today, we stand together to honor the voices of children who have been silenced by abuse, and to reaffirm our commitment to protecting every child from harm. No child should ever have to endure such pain, and no family should ever have to carry its long-lasting wounds. Every child deserves safety, dignity, and a loving environment where they can grow freely and without fear.
We remember the survivors whose strength inspires us, and we hold space for those still healing. Their pain must never be ignored, and their stories must guide us toward stronger protection, deeper compassion, and zero tolerance for any form of abuse. Their bravery calls us to build stronger systems of care, better reporting mechanisms, and compassionate spaces where healing is possible. Their experiences must inspire meaningful and swift action, not silence.
The government, family and community play a vital roles in prevention and protection. The government must strengthen child protection laws, invest in social services, ensure justice is swift and the punishments for these offenders are enforced , and also create safe reporting channels that truly work for children. Communities and families must stay vigilant, educating one another, speaking up when something feels wrong, and building safe, supportive spaces where children are believed, protected, and empowered.
Protecting children is not the work of one person, it is the responsibility of all of us. Together, we can create a world where every child is safe, heard, and cherished.
