The Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation, in its continued commitment to community service and environmental cleanliness, on Saturday, October 26, 2025, embarked on its monthly sanitation exercise at Orie Market, Ubahu Nneato, in Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State. The exercise attracted wide participation from residents, traders, and community leaders who lauded the foundation’s dedication to keeping public spaces clean.
Addressing members of the foundation during the exercise, the President General of Ubahu Development Union, Elder John Ihionu commended their efforts in sustaining a culture of cleanliness and civic responsibility. He described the foundation’s initiative as a model for other groups in the state, noting that a clean environment enhances public health and community development.
Similarly, the Chairman of Orie Market, Mr. Agafechukwu Okorie, who was also present, appreciated the foundation for choosing the market as part of its monthly sanitation drive. He encouraged traders to emulate the foundation’s example by maintaining hygiene within the market and its surroundings.
In his remarks, the Traditional Ruler of Onuaga Okwe Autonomous Community, His Royal Highness Emmanuel Chigozie Azoro, praised the foundation’s consistency and expressed delight that such youth-driven efforts were taking root in Ubahu Nneato. He urged community members to continue supporting the initiative, emphasizing that a clean environment reflects the dignity of the people.
