OLUEBUBE A CHUKWU FOUNDATION EMBARKS ON SANITATION IN NKWO MBALA.

It was a delightful sight as members of Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation, OACF, Umunneochi local government area, trooped out in their large numbers at Nkwo Mbala Market Square, Isuochi, to participate in their routine monthly Sanitation Exercise aimed at keeping the environment clean and green.

Addressing Members of Oluebube A Chukwu Foundation, shortly after the Sanitation exercise at Nkwo Mbala, the Founder, and the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Due Process, Dr. Oluebube Chukwu, who was full of joy and praise for the efforts of Leaders and members of the Foundation in ensuring that the visions and missions of the NGO, which is service delivery and help to the needy are actualized, also promised to sustain the sponsorship of the activities of the Foundation towards meeting up its target objectives and obligations.

Dr. Oluebube Chukwu expressed his delight that the Monthly Sanitation being organized by his NGO, has come to stay permanently, and is being rotated among the four zones of the local government area, asserting that the maiden edition which started in Zone One of the local government, where the Sanitation was carried out at Orie Ngodo Isuochi, while the second edition being carried out today Saturday being Ist of June, assuring that the next edition will be shifted to zone 3, Nneato and zone 4, Umuchieze respectively, urging them to remain resolute and committed to their charity work.

He reemphasized that other packages in the activities of Oluebube A Chukwu Foundation, include Free Medical Outreaches, Soft interest-free loans to rural traders, Scholarships to indigent primary and secondary school students, and food palliative families, adding that the Foundation's activities are aimed at complementing the humanitarian gestures of Governor Alex Otti which is delivering greater dividends of democracy to Abians.

The Governors Aide affirmed that more people-oriented packages will soon be introduced in the Foundation to ensure that their coverage areas is encompassing and beneficial to the people at the grassroots.

Also speaking, the LGA Woman Coordinator, OACF, Mrs. Salome Amaka, the Zone 2 Coordinator, Mr. Ken Ifo, and his Deputy, Don Silas Anumba, while affirming that embarking on the Monthly Sanitation Exercise is part of their Social Cooperate Responsibilities to their host communities, thanked their Principal, Dr. Oluebube Chukwu for coming up such laudable programs and as well providing logistics support that has enabled them to carry out their responsibilities without let or hindrance and prayed God to keep enlarging his coast towards doing more for the society, assuring their sustained support and encouragement to all the programs of Governor Alex Otti and his administration which have given him the platform to serve his people.

In his goodwill message, the President General, of Mbala Town Development Union, Chief Ndubuisi Ike, while appreciating Governor Alex Otti for restoring Security in Umunneochi and other parts of Abia state, which has given the people unrestricted movements in and around the local government, unlike what is obtained previously before the coming of this government, further thanked Leaders and members of Oluebube A Chukwu Foundation, for thinking outside the box by coming up with such a noble package that promotes healthy living and cleanliness in public facilities, asserting that this is the first time an NGO is undertaking such a spirited exercise of Sanitation for the benefits of the community, and called for its sustainance.

In their remarks, some members of the community and shop owners in the market, including the Chief Security Officer Mbala Town, Mr. Obinna Ume, Mr. Chukwekezie London Emeribe, among others, noted with excitement that they were astonished to wake up to see such a voluntary clean-up exercise that has added to the anesthetic views of Nkwo Mbala and prayed God to bless the volunteers abundantly.

Highlights of the Sanitation exercise included but were not limited to Scooping of gutters, cutting and weeding of grasses, and sweeping of the market premises and its surroundings to the delight and admiration of members of the community.
